Pastor Imelda Kula Namutebi is the founder and Senior Pastor of the Liberty Worship Centre – one of the most exciting and fast growing churches in Kampala, Uganda. Her ministry represents a new voice in the body of Christ. This woman of God is a fire-brand destined to ignite every heart to a new level of intimacy and faith in God.

She travels the nations taking the message of faith, hope, healing, deliverance, and prosperity with tremendous signs and wonders following. These who experience her ministry in Africa, Europe, USA, Korea, and beyond have had to redefine what passion, faith and being anointed means.

Pastor Imelda Kula Namutebi was raised in an Islamic home. Her turning point came in 1987, when a sickness she had got worse. The same disease had claimed her sister’s life.  She was also taken to a native witchdoctor in search of healing but all in vain.

In that state of hopelessness, Pastor Imelda left her village and traveled to Kampala. In Kampala she introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Imelda received Jesus as Lord and Savior of her life.

Pastor Imelda grew spiritually at Rubaga Miracle Centre under her pastor and mentor Pastor Robert Kayanja. It was at this time that God began raising her into the ministry of prophecy and deliverance. In 1988 she received a vision from God for her call into ministry.  Pastor Imelda attended Bible School at Rubaga Miracle center.

In 1990, Pastor Imelda moved to Kibuli a suburb of Kampala City to start home cell fellowships. Soon the numbers began to increase. Signs and wonders were manifest in her ministry. The home cells soon birthed outreach mission to the rest of the country. These outreach missions went as far as Jinja, Mukono, Hoima and Masindi. In 1991, Pastor Imelda moved to Kansanga. In Kansanga, she was introduced to Pastor Isaac Kiwewesi with whom they started Kansanga Miracle Centre and served together till 1997.  

In 1997, Pastor Imelda, left Kansanga Miracle Centre and started the Liberty Ministries, which birthed the Liberty Worship Centre International where she is the Senior Pastor.
