Imelda Profile
Pastor Imelda Kula Namutebi was
raised in an Islamic home. Her turning point came in 1987,
when she got seriously sick after her sister’s death.
Being in a Muslim home, a ‘duwa’ prayer was made for her. She
was also taken to a native doctor in search of healing. The
witch doctor told her relatives that there was nothing that
could be done to heal her and therefore she was bound to die.
In that state of hopelessness,
Pastor Imelda left her village and came to Kampala. In Kampala
she introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Imelda
received Jesus as Lord and Saviour of her
life.
Pastor Imelda grew spiritually at
Rubaga Miracle Centre under her pastor and mentor Pastor Robert Kayanja. It
was at this time that God began raising her into the ministry
of prophecy and deliverance. In 1988 she received a vision
from God for her call into ministry. Pastor Imelda
attended Bible School at Rubaga Miracle center. This
took her 4 months.
In 1990, Pastor Imelda moved to
Kibuli the suburb of Kampala City to start home cell
fellowships. Soon the numbers began to increase. The signs and
wonders were manifest in her ministry. The home cells soon
birthed outreach mission to the rest of the country. These
outreach missions went as far as Jinja, Mukono, Hoima and
Masindi. In 1991, Pastor Imelda moved to Kansanga. In
Kansanga, she was introduced to Pastor Isaac Kiwewesi with
whom they started Kansanga Miracle Centre and served together
till 1997.
In 1997, Pastor Imelda, left
Kansanga Miracle Centre and started the Liberty Ministries,
which birthed the Liberty Worship Centre International where
she is the Senior Pastor. Today, Pastor Imelda is married to
Pastor Thomas Moore Kula, and are blessed with two wonderful daughters
Sherry and Misha. To God be
the Glory....

Worship Centre Church Profile
Liberty Worship Centre Church
begun in 1997 at a humble beginning in Mengo. The location
had been rented with a tent setup to host the church. The first
service had twenty members. By the end of the third week,
there were three hundred members. God performed many
miracles notable ones were for example a lady who got healed
of cancer and a girl who was born without sexual organs, her
mother brought her to church, when Pastor Imelda prayed for
her, she was restored that night. These and many other
miracles touched people and many people with various problems
came to the church to be prayed for. Between 1997 and 2003,
The church membership rose close to three thousand members.
The place so became too small. A property was identified and
bought in Lugala to be the new home of the
church.
On the 24th August
of 2003, the Church moved from Mengo to Lugala. Construction
soon began on the 20,000 seater sanctuary. To date, the
structure is past the roofing stage. Click here to see our construction update.
